Roles & Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care to outpatient cardiology patients following established standards
Assist providers and clinic staff with patient care coordination and clinic flow
Serve as the primary liaison between patients, providers, and clinical teams
Perform nursing assessments and aid in EKG interpretation and cardiac monitoring
Administer and monitor cardiac medications and manage cardiac arrhythmias per protocols
Document patient care accurately and communicate changes to the care team
Support patient education and help patients navigate their care plans
Contribute to a culture of safety, quality improvement, and compassionate service

Qualifications

MT RN licensure (required)
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
Basic coronary class required
At least 2 years of cardiac nursing experience preferred
Ability to pass criminal background check, drug screen, and health/immunization screening

Education

Graduate of nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

EKG interpretation and recognition of cardiac arrhythmias
Knowledge of cardiac medications and cardiac procedures
Patient care coordination and nursing assessment skills
Medical terminology and basic nursing principles and procedures
Keyboarding and basic office skills to support documentation and clinic workflow
