Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care for newborns in the NICU and nursery
• Perform thorough newborn assessments and monitor vital signs, intervening as needed
• Execute neonatal resuscitation protocols and advanced life support measures when required
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate and support families on newborn care, feeding, and discharge planning
• Document clinical care accurately and promptly to maintain continuity and safety

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for practice
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• Experience working in a Newborn Nursery or NICU preferred
• Comfortable working night shifts and able to manage the pace of a neonatal unit

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of neonatal physiology and common newborn conditions
• Skilled in neonatal monitoring, small-baby handling, and infection prevention
• Proficient clinical assessment and critical thinking under pressure
• Excellent communication with families and interdisciplinary teams
• Accurate electronic medical record documentation and charting
