Roles & Responsibilities

Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for Med/Surg pediatric patients
Perform thorough patient assessments and deliver timely interventions
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care
Administer medications and document care accurately according to policy
Educate patients and families about treatments, procedures and aftercare
Maintain clear, professional communication during shift handoffs and documentation

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (state licensure required)
Experience or strong interest in Med/Surg nursing with pediatric focus
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Comfort working in a team-oriented clinical environment and supporting family-centered care

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred where available

Knowledge & Skills

Solid clinical assessment and critical thinking skills for Med/Surg and pediatric patients
Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
Strong communication and patient/family education skills
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
