Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
- Maintain accurate documentation and charting of care provided
- Support safe patient transfers and positioning with proper body mechanics
- Help create a comfortable, respectful environment that preserves dignity
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support individualized care plans
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required)
- Valid state-required documentation and ability to work in Pennsylvania
- Willingness to complete facility onboarding requirements (background check, immunizations, TB test) as requested
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients and team members
- Ability to perform physical aspects of the role (lifting, standing, assisting patients)
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high-quality care
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamental patient care techniques and activities of daily living
- Basic infection prevention and control practices
- Comfortable with documentation and following care plans
- Good observational skills and attention to detail
- Teamwork, adaptability, and strong time management
