Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care on the Med/Surg unit
Administer medications, IV therapies and treatments accurately and safely
Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
Educate patients and their families on conditions, treatments and discharge plans
Accurately document patient status and nursing actions in the electronic medical record

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or ability to obtain RN licensure in Hawaii
Experience in Med/Surg nursing is preferred
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple patients safely during 12+ hour shifts
Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

Active RN license required; ADN or BSN in Nursing preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
Medication administration and IV/infusion management
Wound care and post-operative nursing care
Comfortable with electronic medical records and documentation
Good critical thinking and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
