Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care while following care plans and physician orders
- Administer medications safely and accurately, documenting per facility policy
- Monitor patient status and report changes promptly to the care team
- Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient record
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
- Support patients and families with education and empathetic communication
Qualifications
- Valid LPN license (Georgia licensure preferred or eligible)
- Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain before start
- Comfortable with medication administration, wound care basics, and bedside documentation
- Professional attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-oriented approach
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent vocational training
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamentals of nursing care and patient safety
- Medication administration and basic clinical assessments
- Accurate charting and familiarity with electronic health records
- Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Time management and prioritization during longer shift blocks
