Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to Med/Surg patients
Assess patient conditions and implement individualized nursing plans
Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring responses
Perform accurate and timely documentation in the patient record
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to optimize outcomes
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
Recognize changes in patient condition and escalate concerns promptly

Qualifications

Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii or eligibility for Hawaii licensure
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
Preferably 1+ year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience, but motivated learners encouraged to apply
Ability to pass facility background checks and required onboarding screenings
Strong communication and teamwork skills with a patient-first mindset

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in Med/Surg nursing assessments and documentation
Comfortable with medication administration and IV care
Familiarity with electronic health record systems
Strong clinical judgment, prioritization, and time management
Ability to provide patient and family education with empathy and clarity
