Shift Type: 12.5-hour shifts (exact start/end times and days to be confirmed), Med/Surg (schedule may include day or night based on unit needs)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to adult patients
Perform thorough patient assessments, monitor vitals, and implement nursing interventions
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
Document patient care and clinical changes clearly in the medical record
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, discharge plans, and follow-up

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii
Experience in Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) nursing
Comfortable and safe working 12.5-hour shifts and managing multiple patients
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and medication administration skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Medical-surgical patient assessment and monitoring
Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
Post-operative care, wound care, and complication recognition
Clear clinical documentation and handoff communication
Prioritization, time management, and delegation in a fast-paced unit
