Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate Med/Surg nursing care to adult patients with diverse needs
• Perform thorough assessments, monitor patient status, and intervene appropriately
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments according to policy and physician orders
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) credential — ready to bring your skills to Med/Surg care
• Valid nursing license or eligibility to obtain licensure in Hawaii
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain promptly)
• Comfortable with 12+ hour clinical shifts and a fast-paced hospital environment
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
• Med/Surg experience is a plus and will help you hit the ground running

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of medical-surgical nursing principles and adult patient care
• Skilled in patient assessment, wound care, and medication administration
• Proficient in safe IV therapy and monitoring of infusion therapies
• Able to prioritize tasks, multitask under pressure, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Comfortable with clinical documentation and basic computer charting systems
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient/family education and interdisciplinary collaboration
