Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and monitor patient condition, responding promptly to changes in status
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans
Provide compassionate patient and family education to support recovery
Document assessments, interventions and patient responses thoroughly and timely
Prioritize tasks to ensure safe, efficient care in a fast-paced Med/Surg environment

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) credential — active license required (state licensure specifics to be confirmed)
Experience or strong interest in Medical-Surgical nursing
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; additional certifications encouraged
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize care effectively

Education

Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ADN or BSN) — degree specifics to be confirmed by employer

Knowledge & Skills

Solid patient assessment and critical thinking skills
Medication administration and IV therapy competency
Familiarity with basic wound care and post-operative nursing needs
Clear, timely documentation and charting habits
Comfort working within an interdisciplinary team and learning facility protocols
