Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered medical-surgical nursing care to assigned patients
• Perform thorough assessments, monitor patient status, and document findings accurately
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with facility policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate timely, effective care
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns as needed
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Georgia (required)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required); ACLS preferred where applicable
• Experience or clinical comfort in medical-surgical (Med/Surg) settings is a strong plus
• Comfortable working 12.5-hour shifts and managing a varied patient acuity
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and patient observation in Med/Surg populations
• Medication administration and IV therapy fundamentals
• Effective charting and working with electronic health records (EHR)
• Patient and family education with clear, compassionate communication
• Prioritization, time management, and collaboration in a fast-paced setting
