Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based medical-surgical nursing care to adult patients
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor patient condition, intervening as needed
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists and multidisciplinary team members
• Document patient care and progress clearly in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge plans
• Maintain patient safety and infection prevention standards at all times
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Georgia (required)
• BLS certification required; ACLS and other specialty certifications a plus
• Clinical experience in Medical-Surgical nursing preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and time-management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced care team
• Current immunizations and compliance with facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and best practices
• Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and documentation systems
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families and care team
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patient needs safely
• Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement
