Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care on the medical-surgical unit
Assess, monitor, and document patient condition and response to treatment
Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and multidisciplinary team members
Educate patients and families to support recovery and safe discharge
Participate in quality improvement and unit-based initiatives to enhance care
Support a positive unit environment by mentoring colleagues and fostering teamwork

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or compact RN eligible
Clinical experience or familiarity with medical-surgical nursing; previous Med-Surg experience is a plus
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications (e.g., ACLS) encouraged
Strong clinical judgment, organization, and ability to work collaboratively
Clear communication skills and commitment to compassionate patient care

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Medical-surgical clinical skills and patient assessment
Medication administration and documentation best practices
Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
Ability to prioritize, triage, and manage multiple patients
Strong teamwork, communication, and patient education skills
