Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, rotating weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to women during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum in a rural LDRP unit
Serve as the primary baby catcher and transition nurse, ensuring safe delivery and newborn care
Perform triage assessments and manage patients with pregnancy-related conditions and gynecological surgeries
Titrate Pitocin drips and monitor maternal-fetal status using OBIX EFM system
Collaborate with on-call OB providers and anesthesia team to support emergency deliveries
Assist in maintaining a safe and compassionate environment for patients and families

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent L&D experience in an LDRP setting
Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
Certifications: ALS, NRP, AWHONN EFM (required)
Ability to triage and function independently as baby catcher/transition nurse
Comfortable titrating Pitocin and managing laboring patients without in-house OB

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in fetal monitoring interpretation (AWHONN EFM)
Experience with OBIX fetal monitoring system
Skilled in Pitocin titration and IV management
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for rural hospital setting
Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment
