Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends (Nights: Friday-Saturday, Days: Saturday-Sunday), scheduled 4 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $93 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivery, recovery, and postpartum patients
Manage and titrate intravenous medications such as pitocin and insulin
Attend deliveries and provide neonatal resuscitation as needed
Monitor fetal heart rates using the Fetalink system
Collaborate with OB and anesthesia teams to ensure safe patient outcomes
Float to other Sacramento facilities as staffing requires
Serve as charge nurse or support the shift manager when needed

Qualifications

Current RN license in California
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required
Minimum 1 year of LDRP experience (3 years preferred)
Comfortable with neonatal resuscitation and NRP at delivery
Experience with L&D and OR circulating is accepted
Ability to respond to call-backs within 30 minutes

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in labor and delivery nursing, including LDRP
Proficient in fetal monitoring interpretation
Skilled in IV medication titration (pitocin, insulin)
Strong neonatal resuscitation skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
