Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, rotating day/night, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $80 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns in an LDRP setting
Attend and manage low-risk deliveries independently
Circulate during cesarean sections and assist with surgical procedures
Catch and transition newborns, ensuring a healthy start
Monitor and titrate IV drips such as Magnesium, Pitocin, and Insulin
Collaborate with a dedicated team including OB hospitalists, anesthesiologists, and NNPs

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience (1 year considered with prior travel assignments)
Must have LDRP experience and be comfortable attending deliveries independently
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Intermediate or advanced fetal heart monitoring preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in LDRP nursing, including postpartum care and newborn transition
Skilled in patient assessment and managing high-risk conditions like preeclampsia and diabetes
Experience with Centricity perinatal EFM system
Comfortable floating to mother-baby and postpartum within the unit
