Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating every third weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to labor and delivery patients, including high-risk OB and routine obstetric care
Circulate in the OR during C-sections and assist with surgical procedures
Perform normal newborn assessments and routine baby care
Float to postpartum as needed, caring for both mother and infant
Titrate drips such as Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and pain medications under physician orders
Utilize EFM systems (Obix) to monitor fetal heart rates and interpret strips
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including residents, supervising MDs, and CRNAs

Qualifications

Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and NRP certifications required
Driver's license required for radius verification
Must be able to circulate in the OR
No artificial nails in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

Strong L&D and OB nursing skills
Competency in newborn assessment and routine care
Experience titrating drips like Pitocin, Magnesium, and pain meds
Familiarity with EFM (Obix system preferred)
Teamwork, positive attitude, flexibility, and eagerness to learn
