Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care in interventional radiology, assisting with procedures like chemoembolization, Y-90, GJ tube placements, IVC filter placements, and vascular access
• Maintain strict sterile field during procedures to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Monitor patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure, including critical care and telemetry patients
• Document accurately in Cerner EMR and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
• Take charge nurse responsibilities as assigned and support body IR cases

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years IR experience; neuro IR experience highly preferred
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to start
• Comfortable with sterile field, Foley catheter insertion, and central line dressing changes
• Must have own vehicle and adhere to appearance guidelines (natural hair color, no facial piercings, clean shaven for fit test)

Knowledge & Skills

• Interventional Radiology nursing
• Neuro IR and Level I Trauma experience
• Sterile field maintenance and procedure assistance
• Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• Cerner electronic medical record
• BLS and ACLS life support
• ICU nursing background (a plus)
