Location: Phoenix, Arizona

End Date: 09-14-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM, with occasional Saturday shifts 1-2 times per month

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
Monitor patients recovering from conscious sedation and general anesthesia with precision and compassion
Collaborate with interventional radiologists during body IR procedures including chemoembolization, Y-90 treatments, and vascular access
Support patients through CT and ultrasound-guided biopsies, ablations, and other minimally invasive interventions
Maintain detailed documentation using Cerner EMR while ensuring seamless patient handoffs
Serve as a vital member of a Level I trauma center's radiology team delivering exceptional care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state license
BLS and ACLS certifications required
PALS certification preferred
Level I trauma experience required
Pre-op/PACU or ICU experience with interventional radiology exposure strongly preferred
Cerner EMR experience a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment skills for pre and post-procedural patients
Comfort managing patients on vents and telemetry monitoring
Excellent communication with multidisciplinary teams including IR techs and physicians
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced radiology environment
Knowledge of body IR procedures and conscious sedation protocols
