Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care to a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, sepsis, stroke, and respiratory distress cases
Titrate cardiac and sedation drips as needed
Interpret telemetry strips and monitor patient rhythms
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care
Float to PCU and MedSurg units as required, maintaining appropriate patient ratios
Participate in orientation and pass open-book exam demonstrating competency

Qualifications

Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Valid driver's license to verify 50-mile radius
Ability to pass open-book exam with 90% during orientation
Compliance with fingernail policy - no artificial nails in patient care areas
ICU experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
Proficiency in titrating intravenous drips and managing cardiac devices
Telemetry interpretation and documentation
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Flexibility to float and adapt to different units
