Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, rotating weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care to a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, overdose, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker, stroke, vascular, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress cases.
Titrate cardiac drips and manage continuous sedation and insulin infusions.
Interpret and document telemetry strips using GE monitors.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurse aides and healthcare support techs.
Float to PCU and MedSurg units as needed, maintaining appropriate patient ratios.

Qualifications

Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
Valid driver's license and ability to meet the 50-mile radius rule.
Willing to comply with facility policies including no artificial nails.
Pass a pass/fail open-book exam during orientation with 90% score.

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in titrating cardiac drips and caring for ventilated patients.
Skilled in interpreting telemetry strips and troubleshooting respiratory equipment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced ICU environment with 1:2-3 nurse-to-patient ratios.
