Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care in the ICU setting
• Continuously assess and monitor patient status, recognizing and responding to changes quickly
• Administer medications and therapies accurately, following established protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to implement care plans
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient record and communicate handoffs effectively
• Support patients and families with compassionate education and updates during critical moments
• Participate in unit-based initiatives to improve patient outcomes and workflow efficiency

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) credentials — able to practice in Hawaii (licensure to be documented)
• ICU clinical experience (critical care skills and comfort with high-acuity patients)
• Current BLS; ACLS preferred or willingness to obtain
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and bedside skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team and adapt to fast-paced situations

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in critical care monitoring and interpretation of cardiac/hemodynamic data
• Familiarity with ventilator management and respiratory support principles
• IV medication administration and titration experience
• Proficiency with electronic medical record documentation
• Excellent communication, prioritization, and crisis management skills
