Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), weekends required as per 6-week schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care nursing in the ICU float pool across multiple facilities within Zone 1
Monitor and titrate critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, and insulin
Interpret telemetry strips and manage ventilator patients
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
Float between hospitals within a 60-mile radius as assigned
Assess and respond to changing patient conditions with quick decision-making

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required (3+ years for first-time travelers)
Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Epic experience preferred
Comfortable titrating critical drips and interpreting telemetry
Valid driver's license and ability to float within Zone 1
Strong adaptability and flexibility for varied assignments

Knowledge & Skills

Critical drip titration and management
Telemetry interpretation and rhythm recognition
Ventilator management (Vents, CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow)
Epic electronic health record proficiency
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
