Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, 1:00 PM - 1:00 AM, 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM), every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to emergency room patients ranging from trauma to medical emergencies
Perform triage assessments and prioritize care based on acuity
Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and the healthcare team to deliver timely interventions
Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms, manage ventilators, and administer medications
Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience required
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (or ENTC) certifications required
Proficiency in ECG rhythm interpretation
Experience with Paragon EMR preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in trauma, stroke, sepsis, CHF, and cardiac emergencies
Strong triage and patient assessment skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Knowledge of respiratory equipment (vents, CPAP, BiPAP) and ABG interpretation
