Location: College Station, Texas

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, day and night shift starting at 6:45 AM/PM, every other weekend, holidays as scheduled

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics
Triage and assess patients efficiently to prioritize care
Administer medications and manage critical drips including pressors and sedation
Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and interdisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes
Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to changes promptly
Maintain a safe and organized environment in a fast-paced Level III trauma center

Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications required
Minimum 2 years of ER experience
Must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia exam (83%) prior to start
First-time travelers welcome

Knowledge & Skills

Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS)
Pediatric advanced life support (PALS)
Trauma nursing core course (TNCC)
Dysrhythmia interpretation and monitoring
Emergency nursing triage and assessment
Ability to care for holds and psych patients
