Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in the Emergency Department
• Perform rapid assessment, triage, and stabilization of patients presenting with acute conditions
• Administer medications, treatments, and advanced life support per protocol
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Hampshire or eligibility for state licensure
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS and trauma/ED certifications preferred or willing to obtain
• Prior Emergency Department experience preferred; strong triage and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and adapt to a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, BSN or equivalent)

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment skills
• IV therapy, medication administration, and advanced cardiac life support familiarity
• Ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients safely
• Competence with electronic health record documentation
• Calm decision-making under pressure and effective teamwork
• Patient/family education and clear communication
