Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced emergency department
• Assess, triage and prioritize patients with urgency and clinical judgment
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, techs and support staff to coordinate timely patient flow
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care
• Respond to emergent situations with calm, efficient clinical interventions

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Hawaii
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Experience in Emergency Department or acute care settings is highly valued
• Strong assessment, prioritization and clinical decision making skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in a multicultural environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency triage and rapid patient assessment
• Familiarity with ED workflows, documentation and electronic health record systems
• IV therapy, medication administration and basic procedural skills
• Ability to manage multiple patients and priorities under pressure
• Compassionate bedside manner with strong patient education skills
