Roles & Responsibilities

Triage and assess patients quickly and accurately upon arrival
Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care in the fast-paced ED
Stabilize and treat emergent conditions while coordinating next steps
Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary staff
Maintain clear, timely documentation of patient care and status
Educate patients and families on care plans and follow-up needs

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (per facility/state requirements)
Emergency Department experience preferred given the unit specialty
Current BLS certification required; additional certifications a plus
Demonstrated ability to work 12.5-hour clinical shifts
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN/BSN) as required by facility

Knowledge & Skills

Emergency nursing principles and triage processes
Trauma and acute care assessment skills
Cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and medication administration
Prioritization and crisis management under pressure
Effective interdisciplinary communication and documentation
