Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating days and nights, every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a combined ED and MedSurg Swing unit, managing acute and swing bed patients
Titrate IV drips and monitor patient responses in a fast-paced environment
Read and interpret telemetry strips for ED patients
Float to ED holds as needed and assist with patient overflow
Serve as charge nurse, coordinating patient care and staff assignments
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes for a diverse patient population

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of MedSurg experience
Experience with titrating drips and telemetry interpretation preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills for ED and MedSurg patients
Ability to titrate vasoactive and other IV drips safely
Proficiency in telemetry reading and arrhythmia recognition
Comfortable working in a small hospital with a close-knit team
Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and unit demands
