Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries
Assist in circulating and scrubbing roles during CVOR procedures
Monitor patient vitals and ensure safety throughout the perioperative process
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR team to achieve optimal outcomes
Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols
Educate patients and families about pre- and post-operative care

Qualifications

Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in California
BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
Minimum of 2 years recent CVOR experience preferred
Strong critical thinking and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment

Knowledge & Skills

In-depth knowledge of perioperative nursing standards and practices
Proficiency in sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
Excellent team collaboration and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing patient needs
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
