Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with weekend rotation (3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional critical care to cardiac surgery recovery and high-acuity ICU patients
Perform and maintain central line dressing changes, Foley catheter insertions, and wound care with sterile technique
Monitor and manage complex cardiac devices including IABP, ECMO, and CRRT
Collaborate with intensivists and a dedicated multidisciplinary team to deliver top-tier patient outcomes
Float to other ICUs and telemetry units as needed, ensuring continuity of care

Qualifications

Current RN license in good standing
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience, with CVICU experience strongly preferred
Level I Trauma experience is a must
Strong IV skills and ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start
Must have own reliable transportation and be willing to float to different campuses

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertion while maintaining sterile field
Experience with IABP, CABG recovery, and cardiac surgery patient management
Competence in wound care and telemetry monitoring (Phillips system)
Familiarity with Cerner EMR and ability to adapt quickly to new protocols
