Shift Type: Per diem 12.5-hour shifts (exact start/end times and scheduled days vary; shift type: RN - Behavioral Health). Orientation required.

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess behavioral health patients' clinical status and develop individualized care plans
Provide compassionate, recovery-focused nursing care during each shift
Perform crisis intervention and de-escalation when needed to keep patients and staff safe
Administer medications and monitor therapeutic responses accurately
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate effective treatment
Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the medical record
Educate patients and families on illness, coping strategies, and discharge planning
Support a therapeutic environment that promotes dignity, respect, and patient engagement

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Experience or interest in behavioral health nursing
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or willingness to obtain
Ability to participate in required orientation
Strong communication and teamwork skills; dependable and patient-centered

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical assessment and psychiatric nursing skills
Crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
Safe medication administration and monitoring
Accurate clinical documentation and charting
Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
Ability to work calmly in high-acuity or fast-paced situations
