Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the Radiology program to ensure high-quality imaging services and compliance
• Track incoming radiology studies to confirm proper submission and timely reporting
• Provide PACS training and support to appropriate staff and troubleshoot radiology transcription issues
• Ensure radiology equipment is maintained, inspected, and quoted as required by regulatory standards
• Create and maintain radiology policies and procedures, and ensure MQSA and other regulatory compliance
• Manage the radiation protection monitoring program and perform lead apron testing
• Work with clinic administrators, medical directors, and Finance to maintain the chargemaster and improve revenue capture
• Ensure quality assurance and quality control activities are completed and documented
• Supervise radiology staff daily, conduct timely employee evaluations, and ensure competency of those performing exams
• Perform radiologic exams within scope of qualification and support team development and training

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology
• ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist required
• Registered Mammographer preferred
• Registered Ultrasound Technologist preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 5 years experience in Radiology Management and supervision
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Radiology Technologist
• PACS training required; CT and MRI technologist experience preferred

Education

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation regulations related to radiology services, including MQSA
• Experience with digitized imaging and PACS workflows
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work across multiple computer systems and document medical information clearly
• Skills in quality assurance and quality control for radiology
• Ability to supervise and develop staff, manage priorities, and multi-task effectively
• Familiarity with radiology equipment maintenance, radiation protection, and chargemaster management
