Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients in an acute inpatient rehab setting to identify functional needs and goals
• Develop individualized care plans that drive meaningful recovery and measurable outcomes
• Deliver therapeutic interventions across orthopedics, neurology and cardiopulmonary cases
• Supervise and coordinate therapeutic care with PTAs, OTs, speech therapists and rehab techs
• Communicate evaluation results and progress clearly with patients, families and interdisciplinary staff
• Document all patient care accurately and efficiently using Cerner PowerChart
• Use proper patient lifting equipment (SARA+, Stedy, Maximove) and safe transfer techniques

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina license to practice Physical Therapy (must have)
• Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy (BS in Physical Therapy required)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience (acute care experience preferred; at least 1 year acute experience noted)
• Experience working with orthopedics, neurology and cardiopulmonary patient populations is helpful
• Familiarity with Cerner PowerChart and standard inpatient documentation practices
• Comfort with and knowledge of patient lifting/transfer equipment
