Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality Med/Surg nursing care to adult patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes promptly to the interdisciplinary team
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Document patient care and interventions in the electronic health record with attention to detail
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure excellent outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Hawaii licensure preferred or eligibility to obtain
• Minimum Med/Surg clinical experience (recent experience preferred)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS or other certifications a plus
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize care in a fast-paced unit
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medical-surgical nursing practices and common adult conditions
• Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) charting
• Excellent patient assessment and monitoring skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in an interprofessional team
