Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and triage emergency patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care
Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and according to protocol
Collaborate with physicians and the ED team to develop and execute treatment plans
Monitor and document patient condition, responding to changes with clinical judgment
Provide clear education and compassionate support to patients and families during high-stress moments
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives to improve outcomes

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii or eligibility for Hawaii RN licensure
BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
Previous emergency department experience preferred (new grads with strong ED clinical rotations encouraged to apply)
Current certifications and immunizations per facility policy
Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Triage and emergency assessment skills
Cardiac rhythm recognition and basic arrhythmia management
IV insertion, medication administration, and documentation
Ability to prioritize multiple critically ill patients
Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
