Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
Perform thorough assessments, monitor patient status, and escalate concerns promptly
Administer medications and treatments safely, following established protocols
Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care
Document patient care accurately and timely in the medical record
Participate in orientation and training to help onboard new staff and maintain unit standards

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) — core requirement
Experience working in PICU or pediatric critical care
Willingness to complete facility orientation (orientation is provided)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; pediatric-specific certifications (e.g., PALS) are a strong advantage

Knowledge & Skills

Solid understanding of pediatric critical care principles
Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
Strong assessment skills and clinical judgment in high-acuity situations
Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
Accurate clinical documentation and time management
