Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients — bathing, dressing, mobility assistance and daily living support
Monitor patient condition and promptly report changes to the nursing team
Assist with safe patient transfers and use of mobility aids
Support vital sign collection, documentation and accurate charting
Maintain a clean, safe and respectful environment for patients and families
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care
Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in good standing (state certification required)
Minimum one year of direct patient care experience preferred
Comfort with lifting/assisting patients and performing bedside care
Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
Strong teamwork, communication skills, and a patient-first attitude
Ability to follow facility policies and complete required training/orientation

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

Basic patient care techniques and ADL assistance
Vital signs monitoring and documentation best practices
Safe patient handling and mobility assistance
Infection prevention and standard precautions
Effective communication with patients, families and clinical staff
Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
