Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality emergency care to patients of all ages.
• Rapidly assess, triage and prioritize patients in a fast-paced ED environment.
• Administer medications, start IVs and perform necessary emergency procedures safely.
• Collaborate with physicians, techs and support staff to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Document patient assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
• Participate in team-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Provide clear patient and family education during stressful moments with empathy and clarity.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Hawaii licensure or applicable compact license preferred)
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Previous Emergency Department (ED/ER) experience preferred — new grads with strong ED clinical exposure are encouraged to apply
• Strong assessment, prioritization and critical-thinking skills in acute care settings
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Completion of accredited nursing program and active RN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and rapid patient assessment in emergency settings
• Stabilization and initial management of trauma and medical emergencies
• IV therapy, medication administration and emergency interventions
• Accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Effective teamwork, communication and situational awareness
• Basic familiarity with electronic medical records and clinical workflows
