Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to pediatric and med/surg patients
• Assess patient status and intervene promptly to support positive outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, following protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care plans
• Educate patients and families on condition management and discharge planning
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic chart
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or compact RN license as applicable
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; PALS preferred given pediatric patient population
• Experience in medical-surgical nursing and pediatric care preferred
• Comfort with IV therapy, medication administration, and pediatric assessments
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and patient monitoring for med/surg and pediatric needs
• Medication administration and accurate documentation
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems
• Ability to prioritize care in fast-paced inpatient settings
• Compassionate family-centered care and patient education skills
