Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to adults in an acute care setting
Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility)
Monitor and record vital signs, patient conditions, and report changes promptly
Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics
Document care accurately and communicate clearly with nurses and interdisciplinary team members
Follow infection control protocols and maintain a safe, clean environment
Support smooth admissions, discharges, and bedside care transitions

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required)
Active state certification or eligibility to obtain CNA certification
Comfort working 12+ hour shifts and in a fast-paced acute care environment
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completed approved CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
Basic clinical skills: vital signs, patient positioning, wound observation
Accurate charting and documentation practices
Infection control and safety procedures
Teamwork, time management, and prioritization in acute settings
Compassionate bedside manner and patient advocacy
