Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert critical care nursing for ICU patients, monitoring status and intervening promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Perform advanced assessments and manage complex equipment including ventilators and hemodynamic monitors
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following protocols and best practices
• Document patient care accurately and communicate changes clearly at handoffs
• Support patients and families with compassionate education and emotional support during critical moments

Qualifications

• Current RN credential and active, unrestricted nursing license
• Experience in critical care or ICU nursing, comfortable with high-acuity patients
• BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking and ability to prioritize in fast-paced environments
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with respect for multidisciplinary collaboration
• Willingness to complete orientation and any facility-specific training

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, ASN or BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and advanced clinical monitoring
• Ventilator management and respiratory support knowledge
• IV medication administration and titration understanding
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Infection control, ICU protocols and patient safety practices
• Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and code situations
