Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care and therapeutic interventions to patients of all ages
• Assess patients' respiratory status and develop practical care plans in collaboration with the care team
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and other respiratory equipment with safety and precision
• Deliver oxygen therapy, airway management, and aerosolized medication treatments effectively
• Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses accurately and timely
• Participate in patient and family education to promote understanding and recovery
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and workflow

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) — or actively pursuing credentialing
• Eligible for or holding a Missouri respiratory care license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) preferred where applicable
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills with prior acute-care experience preferred
• Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to patient-centered care

Education

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or related healthcare field (required)
• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Healthcare (preferred but not required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with ventilator management and airway support
• Skilled in oxygen therapy, bronchodilator and aerosol administration
• Proficient in patient assessment, ABG interpretation, and respiratory diagnostics
• Comfortable with electronic charting and clear clinical documentation
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in high-paced clinical settings
