Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-04-2026

End Date: 09-03-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Develop personalized treatment plans for patients recovering from TKA, THA, spinal surgery, CVA, and general medical conditions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes in acute inpatient settings
Document progress and adjust interventions to support each patient's unique recovery journey
Mentor and guide patients through rehabilitation milestones with compassion and expertise

Qualifications

Active California PT license required
BLS certification
Acute Inpatient PT experience strongly preferred
Strong clinical skills across ortho, neuro, and general medical patient populations

Knowledge & Skills

Acute inpatient physical therapy expertise
Experience with post-surgical orthopedic and neurological patients
Ability to manage diverse caseloads across multiple hospital units
Strong communication and documentation skills
Comfort working independently with support from rehab aides
