Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care across multiple units including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
Monitor and manage adult-geriatric patients with diverse diagnoses from post-surgical care to stable long-term placement
Titrate Heparin drips and manage other medications as needed
Collaborate with designated charge nurses and nursing assistants to deliver excellent patient outcomes
Float within Zone 4 facilities to support staffing needs and gain valuable cross-unit experience
Respond to low-census call situations when required

Qualifications

Active RN license in Kansas or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of MS-Tele experience within the last 3 years
Neuro experience preferred
Alaris and EPIC experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills across multiple specialties
Comfortable floating between MS-Tele, PCU/Stepdown, and low-acuity ICU holds
Proficient with tele monitoring and reading cardiac strips
Experience with vents, CPAP, and BiPAP equipment
Ability to adapt quickly to new units and patient populations
