Location: Garrison, North Dakota

Start Date: 06-22-2026

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend and every other major holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $58 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Serve as charge nurse, leading the care team with confidence and compassion
Administer medications safely and accurately while building trust with residents
Provide skilled wound care that promotes healing and comfort
Monitor and support residents living with heart disease, diabetes, and dementia
Collaborate with PT, social work, and dietary teams to deliver holistic care

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state
BLS certification required
Prior long-term care experience preferred
Strong assessment and communication skills
Ability to work independently as charge nurse

Knowledge & Skills

Comfortable managing a 1:10 day and 1:19 night nurse-to-resident ratio
Familiar with Matrix EMR documentation
Skilled in medication administration and basic wound care
Able to provide care using oxygen concentrators and portable units
Ready to step into a leadership role on a 26-bed unit
