Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate cardiac telemetry care to patients recovering from heart attacks, lung transplants, and esophageal procedures
Monitor and interpret EKGs using Philips equipment while delivering safe, high-quality nursing care
Administer non-titrating drips and manage patients on CPAP and high-flow oxygen therapy
Collaborate with a dedicated charge nurse and PCT support team to maintain excellent patient ratios of 1:3-4
Float to other telemetry units as needed while maintaining the same high standard of care
Complete required skills validations including sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred
Strong EKG interpretation skills
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam with up to two attempts
Must have reliable transportation for travel team assignments

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac step-down and telemetry monitoring expertise
Comfortable with Cerner EMR documentation
Understanding of sterile field protocols and infection prevention
Experience with lung transplant, MI, and pre-transplant patient populations
Ability to float across multiple telemetry units while maintaining quality care
