Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, no set schedules

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor cardiac rhythms remotely for multiple facilities from a centralized command center
Recognize and report dangerous rhythm changes and arrhythmias following established protocols
Accurately interpret EKGs and take appropriate action to notify local RN staff
Follow proper communication channels during routine and emergency situations
Strive to improve patient outcomes and department metrics through vigilant surveillance

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent related work experience demonstrating EKG interpretation skills
Graduation from an accredited program including EKG Interpretation
Must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia exam with lethal rhythms (pass/fail, one chance only)
Ability to work 36 hours per week on rotating day and night shifts

Education

Graduation from an accredited program including EKG Interpretation

Knowledge & Skills

Remote cardiac monitoring expertise
Arrhythmia detection and cardiac rhythm recognition
Strong attention to detail in a virtual hospital setting
Excellent communication skills for notifying clinical staff
Ability to work independently while following established protocols
