Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult patients on a busy 40-bed PCU unit
Titrate cardiac and critical drips such as Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Interpret telemetry strips and respond promptly to patient changes
Manage arterial lines and support patients with high-flow oxygen therapy
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient experiences
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed while maintaining PCU-level care standards
Champion patient education, medication communication, and responsiveness scores

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency managing arterial lines
Strong telemetry interpretation and drip titration skills
Ability to arrive within 30 minutes when called in from on-call status
Willingness to complete a pass/fail open-book skills exam during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Cardiac, vascular, sepsis, stroke, and post-procedure patient care
Drip titration and medication management
Arterial line monitoring and maintenance
High-flow oxygen equipment troubleshooting
Team collaboration and clear communication across diverse patient populations
