Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients on a specialized MedSurg/Telemetry unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with psychiatrists and the care team to support patients with both medical and behavioral health needs
Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR and ensure seamless communication across shifts
Float to support ED psych holds or other MedSurg floors as needed
Uphold strict infection control and sterile technique during procedures

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma experience in a 600+ bed facility
Strong MedSurg/Telemetry skills with the ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam
Psych experience preferred but not required
Must pass SIMs Lab skills assessment on day one of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Cerner electronic medical record system
Patient safety and behavioral health awareness
Sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Video monitoring and de-escalation techniques
